Come and join us in December 2014 for a multicultural playgroup!
It is a space and time dedicated to having fun, introducing our children to different languages and socializing with families from diverse cultures. The group offers interaction for children as well as a support network for the parents. Join us for an exchange of ideas and fun!
Who is it for?
For children from 6 months to 2 years old and their parents or caregivers (according to need, we will offer separate age groups). We welcome all nationalities living in Warsaw.
What exactly is a playgroup?
A playgroup brings together parents, children and group facilitators. This form of activity has become increasingly popular in many countries around the world. It’s a group with the purpose of providing socialization for babies and toddlers through fun activities, music, arts and crafts. Families have the chance to meet and create a community in a nurturing environment.
What will we do?
> Once a week, parents and children gather at the Avocado daycare center to spend uninterrupted time playing with their children and fostering their development,
> We will speak English and Polish throughout the activities.
>Each session will integrate free play with structured activities prepared by the group facilitator from Avocado.
>A typical group’s schedule:
-free play while group members come together
-meet and greet circle
-structured play activity (involving movement, stimulating the senses or engaging artistic skills),
-healthy snack
-farewell ritual
>Each play session will also incorporate elements from various cultures (music, games, props etc). Parents, as willing, can participate in co-creating new ideas.
